Last Full Tailgate of the Year

Time to go out with a bang and not let the fact that we have an 11am game turn it into a whimper.  We will have breakfast before the game, and have a little lunch after.  We were planning on having our BBQ tailgate this week, so instead of doing the full BBQ spread, we’ll do BBQ breakfast tacos!  One thing to put out there this week is that we have so many beverages leftover, we really want to try and drink what we have, so we won’t be doing anything special for drinks this week.  As usual, if you think there is something missing from the list, please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate.  The scholarship fund is continuing to grow!  So we want to keep targeting $20 per person so that we are adding to the fund each week!

Breakfast:

  • Eggs
  • Tortillas
  • Brisket
  • Sausage
  • Cheese
  • Tater Tots
  • Salsa
  • Guacamole
  • Pico

Lunch:

  • Brisket & Sausage Sandwiches
  • Chips

Drinks: (this is what we have left, so if you want something else, please feel free to bring it)

  • Beer
  • Gatorade
  • Cokes
  • Water
  • Vodka
  • Canadian Whiskey
  • Beer

Last Night Game of Tailgate Season!

We get to enjoy an all day tailgate one last time, and actually get some nice cool weather to go along with it. That combined with the fact that Mississippi as a state is pretty mediocre as far as cuisine goes and since we don’t play the corndogs this year means that we will hop across the mighty Mississip for an opportunity to have some good ol’ Cajun food! Things are looking good on the scholarship fund front, but we are still trying to collect $20 per person each week so we can give even more to a few lucky kids for next year!

With the night game, we will target serving food around 2:30. If you see something that isn’t on the menu that you think should be there, let us know and we will see what we can do.

Lunch:

  • Red Beans & Rice with Sausage
  • Chicken and Sausage Gumbo
  • Crawfish Etouffee
  • Boudin
  • Corn on the Cob
  • Cole Slaw
  • Garlic Bread
  • Cajun Vegetables
  • Drinks
    • Beer
    • Gatorade
    • Cokes
    • Water
    • Beer

The Gumps are coming to town…

Now make sure you brush up on your monosyllabic words, because we may have some visitors from that strange land that is Alabama visiting us this weekend.  While we get to wait until the evening for the bloodshed, at least we get a hefty dose of tailgating since we get another night game!  As always, please let us know how many people you are bringing, that way we can appropriately plan the quantity of food.  So far we’re doing a great job on fundraising, and we look forward to being able to provide some great scholarships for Aggies next year.  We’re still trying to target collecting $20 per person each week to achieve that goal, and please talk to one of the board memebers if you’re interested in volunteering for a committee or want to be more active in the administration of the tailgate!  If you have any special requests, please let us know and we will try to accomodate.

In honor of our Bama friends and the many ways you can prepare shrimp/seafood, we’re going to do a fish fry this weekend.  We will target serving food around 2:30, but you can’t drink all day if you don’t start early, so come out early and enjoy the good company.

Fish Fry Menu:

  • Fried Catfish
  • Fried Shrimp
  • Hushpuppies
  • French Fries
  • Mac & Cheese
  • Broccoli Slaw
  • Cocktail Sauce
  • Tartar Sauce
  • Ketchup
  • Drinks:
    • Beer
    • Gatorade
    • Cokes
    • Water
    • Canadian Whiskey
    • Vodka
    • Yellowhammers
    • Beer

Cock a Doodle Doo!

The South Carolina Gamecocks are coming to town! Game time is 6:30 PM, so come out and hang all day. We will be serving gamecock wings around 2 PM. As usual, if you see something missing from the menu or if you have a specific recipe you’d like us to serve for something on the list, please let us know and we will work to make it happen. Also, if you are planning on attending, please let us know by commenting, texting, or emailing so we can make sure to have enough food available.

As we’ve mentioned before, the Dead MBA Society is now a 501(c)3 organization, with all proceeds raised this fall going to scholarships for Aggie students. Being our first year, this will be a learning opportunity, but we would like to try to set an initial membership goal of least $20 per person each week to help fund the scholarship goal!  This gives you access to the tailgate and opportunity to participate in the operations of the organization.  If you’re interested in volunteering to help with fundraising, marketing, scholarship applications, or anything else, please talk to one of the board members or email info@deadmbatailgate.com.  We really want to raise as much as possible this year so that we can use our shared passion for all things A&M to directly impact some great young people’s lives.
