Last tailgate of the year, and finally a chilly one!

The announcement you’ve all been waiting for, WE WILL BE TAILGATING for the Mississippi State game. The weather forecast has been so all over the place that it was hard to commit, but as of this update, it looks like it will be a gorgeous day!

Ticket Auction: We have 4 tickets in section 415, row 17 that have been donated, and we will auction off in pairs. $20 minimum bid for a single pair ($10/ticket), with a buy it now price of $250/pair ($125/ticket) which comes with a donation receipt for any amount above face value. To bid: post a comment on this message. If you have trouble, reach out on Facebook or Twitter and we can comment for you. Bidding will close at 4PM on gameday.

As always, we are trying to raise money for the kids, so don’t forget to donate, whether by buying tickets or just donating directly! Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to get up to date information if anything has to change, and please like and share our posts as well to keep spreading the word.

We will target serving food around 3, so come hungry and eat enough to stay warm.

It’s BAMA Time!

The Tide is rolling into town this weekend and we are rolling out Fajitas and Yellowhammers! It’s a 2:30 kickoff so will be served around noon. As always, tailgate donations go to the Dead MBA Society scholarship fund, please feel free to use the PayPal link on the right of this page to make an easy online donation.

We also have a ticket auction this week!

In an effort to raise more money for the Dead MBA Scholarship Fund, we will be auctioning off two tickets generously donated by Jay Graham (thanks Jay!) This will be a silent auction at the tailgate, and the auction closes 1 hour before kickoff and tickets can be transferred digitally. To place a bid in advance, comment on this post with your bid amount, bids start at $50 per ticket with $10 increments. Any cross-platform disputes on bids or purchase will be decided by the timestamp. We are offering a “Buy It Now” option of $500 (they’re selling online for $350 each!). Must be a member of the Dead MBA Tailgate to bid, if you are not all it takes is a gameday membership pass for $20, which can be added to your winning bid amount.

Sorry for the late announcement, but we’ve been actively tracking the weather to see if we would be able to tailgate this weekend… Good News! Tailgate is on! Rain will die down overnight on Friday, so Saturday should be clear and beautiful, well except maybe for the mud on the ground, so be prepared for that and wear the right shoes… We will keep watching the weather, and if something changes, be sure to follow us on Twitter @deadMBAtailgate for live updates. 11am is always an interesting kickoff time, so we will plan to tailgate before and after as usual. Come before to miss traffic, stay after and watch the UT v UGA game. That should be an interesting one. We do this for the kids, so please donate to help feed the scholarship fund! The best answer to “how much should we donate?” is always “well how much scholarship money do kids need?!”

Breakfast will be ready around 9 and Lunch will be after the game, probably about 3-4ish. Hope to see everyone there as the Weigman era gains full steam! BTHO Florida!

Late Night with Miami!

We’re just going to pretend like last weekend didn’t happen and come out for a Miami party with the Hurricanes coming to town! We are making good progress on funding the scholarships for next year, but we can do better! Please take the time to contribute via PayPal or cash/check at the tailgate. We’ve had 3 of our scholarship recipients come by the tailgate so far this year, and each of them has been extremely grateful. We have an amazing opportunity to support such great students that share our passion for Aggie sports!

We will have Fajitas on the menu, and since the game is so late with the 8PM kickoff, we will push back our serving time to around 4:30 or 5:00 to make sure most people are there when the food is fresh off the grill. BUT we will be out there tailgating all day starting around 8am and have snacks available throughout the day, so come enjoy the experience and the camaraderie that makes tailgating for Aggie home games so much fun!
