Sorry for the late announcement, but we’ve been actively tracking the weather to see if we would be able to tailgate this weekend… Good News! Tailgate is on! Rain will die down overnight on Friday, so Saturday should be clear and beautiful, well except maybe for the mud on the ground, so be prepared for that and wear the right shoes… We will keep watching the weather, and if something changes, be sure to follow us on Twitter @deadMBAtailgate for live updates. 11am is always an interesting kickoff time, so we will plan to tailgate before and after as usual. Come before to miss traffic, stay after and watch the UT v UGA game. That should be an interesting one. We do this for the kids, so please donate to help feed the scholarship fund! The best answer to “how much should we donate?” is always “well how much scholarship money do kids need?!”

Breakfast will be ready around 9 and Lunch will be after the game, probably about 3-4ish. Hope to see everyone there as the Weigman era gains full steam! BTHO Florida!

Fundraiser Opportunity! Ticket Silent Auction

In an effort to raise more money for the Dead MBA Scholarship Fund, we will be auctioning off two tickets to the Fighting Texas Aggie v. Ole Miss football game on Saturday, 10/29. This will be a silent auction at the tailgate, and the auction closes 1 hour before kickoff. Must be present to win (obviously, or else we cant get you the tickets!). These tickets are available thanks to the generous donation made by Sarah and John Deterling, and come with a parking pass as well. To place a bid in advance, reply in the comments with your bid amount, bids start at $5 with $5 increments. Any cross-platform disputes on bids or purchase will be decided by the timestamp. We are offering a “Buy It Now” option of $400. Must be a member of the Dead MBA Tailgate to bid, but don’t worry if you are not, you can get a gameday membership pass for $20, which can be added to your winning bid amount.

Ticket Information: Section 116, Row 4, Seats 8-9; Parking Pass: Choice of Lot 66 or F if using the “buy it now” option in advance. Parking still part of the package, but if not buying in advance, it might be difficult to use the parking (FMV of package: $175)

Time to Visit Rocky Top!

If you haven’t seen, the 2023 football schedule was announced last week, and that means we finally know when we will get to visit the real UT! If you want to roll out to the Volunteer state for the Dead MBA Roadgame Tailgate, book October 14th, 2023 on your calendars. I’m sure the Ags will make the trek, so no promises on what kind of tickets or accommodations we can make as a group, so for now, everything will be for each their own. If you do book something, I encourage you to book something refundable, just so it can be easily changed if we do figure out something for the group. Stay tuned here or on our social media accounts for more information as it is available.

Late Night with Miami!

We’re just going to pretend like last weekend didn’t happen and come out for a Miami party with the Hurricanes coming to town! We are making good progress on funding the scholarships for next year, but we can do better! Please take the time to contribute via PayPal or cash/check at the tailgate. We’ve had 3 of our scholarship recipients come by the tailgate so far this year, and each of them has been extremely grateful. We have an amazing opportunity to support such great students that share our passion for Aggie sports!

We will have Fajitas on the menu, and since the game is so late with the 8PM kickoff, we will push back our serving time to around 4:30 or 5:00 to make sure most people are there when the food is fresh off the grill. BUT we will be out there tailgating all day starting around 8am and have snacks available throughout the day, so come enjoy the experience and the camaraderie that makes tailgating for Aggie home games so much fun!
