We may not have pulled off the win against a top 10 team with one of the toughest defenses we’ve faced all year, but the tailgate and the campus atmosphere were definitely a victory!

Next up is an 11:45 AM kickoff with a Louisiana twist, y’all! As we get ready to face McNeese State, let’s turn up the heat both on and off the field. Expect a tailgate menu that’ll make your taste buds dance faster than a gator on a hot tin roof. Come out early, grab some breakfast, and get fired up for the game! And don’t rush off—stick around afterward, let the traffic clear, and catch the afternoon games with us. We’ll be in full tailgate mode by 9 AM!

As always, we encourage everyone to donate to our tailgate’s scholarship fund and give back to the next generation. In case you missed it, we recently awarded $3,500 in scholarships to 7 deserving Ags, many of whom are planning to stop by to say hello and thank you to our group. So come early, stay late, and show your support for the Dead MBA Society’s scholarship fund.

Last tailgate of the year, and finally a chilly one!

The announcement you’ve all been waiting for, WE WILL BE TAILGATING for the Mississippi State game. The weather forecast has been so all over the place that it was hard to commit, but as of this update, it looks like it will be a gorgeous day!

Ticket Auction: We have 4 tickets in section 415, row 17 that have been donated, and we will auction off in pairs. $20 minimum bid for a single pair ($10/ticket), with a buy it now price of $250/pair ($125/ticket) which comes with a donation receipt for any amount above face value. To bid: post a comment on this message. If you have trouble, reach out on Facebook or Twitter and we can comment for you. Bidding will close at 4PM on gameday.

As always, we are trying to raise money for the kids, so don’t forget to donate, whether by buying tickets or just donating directly! Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to get up to date information if anything has to change, and please like and share our posts as well to keep spreading the word.

We will target serving food around 3, so come hungry and eat enough to stay warm.

Lunch:

  • Chicken sausage gumbo

  • A few random things we had leftover from prior tailgates
  • Drink the coolers dry – we did not buy anything new since this is our last tailgate of the season, but should have plenty on hand and a little of everything

Road Game Planning!

While the football season is months away, it is time to start planning the Road Game trip to Knoxville!

We have a couple of options to help our tailgate members make the trip that much easier! This is going to be a popular road game destination as it is one of the last SEC teams that we have had the opportunity to visit.

Our very own Ann Taylor (Storybook Trips by Ann) has arranged a block of rooms in Downtown Knoxville. The hotel is the Courtyard Marriott Downtown, and the costs is $599/night + tax. The deposit is one night’s stay. To reserve your room as part of the block, email Ann at ann.taylor@storybooktrips.com. Hurry, because once these rooms are gone, they’re gone. Last day to reserve a spot is May 30th, unless they book up faster.

We also have a couple blocks of tickets to the game available. To reserve your tickets, email Warren at neerraw@gmail.com. Ticket prices are $125 each, and exact seating will be determined later once tickets are received. These tickets are in the 12th Man Foundation allotment, and more importantly, with your friends of the Dead MBA Tailgate. As with the hotel rooms, these are first come, first served, so when these are gone, they’re gone!

Northgate tailgate!!!

Well it’s that time of year again, we braved through some possible rain outs to make it this far so that we finally get to do our Northgate tailgate! Our friends at the Dixie Chicken have told us that we need to get there at 8am, so 8 is drinking start time. Stay connected with us via Twitter on @deadmbatailgate to follow us as we move around and find a place to be. We will be out both before and after the game since it is an 11am game! Even though we aren’t having a tailgate, we’d love it if you can contribute to our Aggie scholarship fund! After all, kids need money to be able to enjoy the Northgate experience themselves.
