Well folks, Mother Nature has thrown us a curveball. The forecast has taken a turn, and with the weather moving in, we’re scaling things way down for this week’s tailgate.

We’ll still be gathering, but think small and simple rather than our usual full spread.

But here’s what isn’t changing: our commitment to coming together and supporting a great cause. Even with a scaled-down tailgate, we’ll still be raising awareness (and funds!) for our scholarship program.

The Aggies have a matchup this weekend with Utah State, and you know what that means… good food, cold drinks, and great company at the Dead MBA Tailgate! With an 11:45 AM kickoff we’ll be serving up breakfast before the game to fuel your cheering, and then firing things back up for lunch and watching the afternoon games. It’s going to be a full day of Aggie spirit, good eats, and camaraderie you won’t want to miss!

🕘 Tailgate kicks off at 9AM sharp, featuring a mini chicken and waffle spread complete with fruit and toppings. Lunch will be assorted pastas along with green salad and snacks.

💸 Scholarship Reminder! While we eat, cheer, and celebrate, let’s also remember we gather to give back. The Dead MBA Scholarship helps support future Aggies, and every donation makes a difference. The 2025  Dead MBA Scholarship application is up and running! Encourage anyone you know that is an Aggie or has children at A&M to apply. The deadline is Friday, May 30th, applicants will be notified by the end of June. 

Funds will be appliled directly to Texas A&M University. 

Get ready for our biggest tailgate of the year as we get ready to SAW EM OFF! We’re aiming to have food ready by 3 PM, but as always, we’ll need to stay flexible with our preparations since we expect this to be our largest gathering. We’ll have a few traditional Thanksgiving dishes that the tailgate provides to make sure we have a foundation, but what makes this tailgate special is the potluck style—everyone brings a dish that reminds them of Thanksgiving! Bring something to share a piece of what makes Thanksgiving special to you!

Please let us know what you plan to bring (but don’t stay away if you aren’t bringing anything, we want your company no matter what). This way, we can keep our list updated and avoid having 15 people all bringing yams. For planning purposes, we usually have about 35-40 or more adults at our Thanksgiving tailgate.

Don’t forget we are also supporting a cause close to our hearts. This year, the Dead MBA Society awarded $3,500 in scholarships to students who share a passion for Texas A&M athletics. With your support at each tailgate fundraiser, we’re aiming to surpass that amount for next year. Your attendance and contributions play a crucial role in empowering the next generation of Aggie leaders and athletes.
