We set this up to follow and get information about all-things for the Dead MBA Tailgate. Tailgate is located on West Campus on the southwest side of Kleberg and is set up for (almost) all Aggie home games. We also try to tailgate for at least one road trip each year and pick one game a year to do a Northgate tailgate.
FAQ:
What is a Dead MBA?
Well, have you ever heard of a Dead Elephant or Dead Zip? We’re the same thing, but for MBAs. Never heard of a Dead Elephant or Zip? It is an Aggie Senior who has wrapped up his or her service to the university (loosely speaking). The group that started the tailgate all met during the Mays MBA program, but now we’re on our own. We would have never met and this tailgate wouldn’t exist if not for the MBA program, so that is what links us together.
Do I have to be a Dead MBA to attend?
Hell no! Just cause we got our start that way, doesn’t mean we exclude anyone. We have people out every week that were not in the MBA program.
What time does it start?
It varies, but on Saturdays we usually try to be up and going by the time College GameDay starts (8:00am on ESPNU when we’re really motivated, 9:00am on ESPN when we’re not). If you haven’t opened your first beer by 10, something is wrong.
What should I bring?
We have plenty of food and drinks that we’re more than happy to share. All we ask is that you give us a heads up if you want to come out so that we can plan accordingly! Also, if you have a good time, feel free to contribute when you are there, or online via PayPal. The Dead MBA Scholarship is funded by the donations raised at these fundraising events!
I’m a Dead MBA, how do I get involved?
Come on out, talk to us, enjoy some food, games, and most importantly football! We’re always looking to grow the tailgate, and as more people start showing up, we can start getting more extravagant and complex.
